TRICARE Insurance May Cover Your Depression Treatment
The commitment and sacrifices made by those in active military service, veterans, and their family members are immense and often come with significant challenges. Our Medical Director, Dr. Miller, understands. He spent five years in the US Air Force and has seen the impact these sacrifices can have on both personal and family life.
One common challenge faced is the onset of clinical depression, often a consequence of military service. This type of depression can be debilitating and make daily life extremely hard, especially if previous treatments haven’t helped.
Our clinic has seen amazing results using MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy) for depression, even in treatment-resistant cases. So we are thrilled to announce that we are a recognized provider under the TRICARE insurance network.
MeRT therapy, which utilizes rTMS (repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) technology, is FDA-approved to treat depression. In 2016, TRICARE also began covering TMS therapy for depression.
Our goal is to ease your depression symptoms with our effective and lasting treatment. We are here to make your journey to recovery as smooth as possible.
How Does TRICARE Insurance Work?
For the eastern United States, Humana Military – TRICARE East is the provider. TRICARE East offers three levels of insurance: Prime, Reserve, and Select.
TRICARE Prime
If you are a TRICARE Prime member, please make an appointment with your medical provider and request a referral to see us for depression treatment. If you have questions about how to do this, contact us. We will be happy to guide you through it.
TRICARE Reserve and Select
If you are a member of either TRICARE Reserve or Select, you don’t need a letter of referral from your primary care provider. You can simply contact our New Patient Coordinator.
First, she will schedule you for your initial testing and consultation. When these are complete, we will fill out all the paperwork so you can begin your MeRT treatment as soon as possible.
For more information, contact our New New Patient Coordinator. She can assist you with getting coverage for treatment of depression or depression combined with other conditions.
